We received the Horizontal Machining Center Spindle from a well known Japanese manufacturer. After disassembly and inspection of the unit, it was concluded that the bearings had failed due to contamination. In addition, the drive keys were damaged, which we were able to manufacture new ones to replace. A new set of grippers were used to replace the old damaged set on the spindles draw bar. The HMC Spindle was reassembled with new o-rings and brand new Precision Ceramic Ball Bearings. The spindle was then test run for several hours and balanced with exacting precision by one of our several Spindle Technicians with over 20 years experience repairing spindles. This spindle was received by us on a Friday, it was completed on Sunday and then shipped back to the customer Monday morning.
