Amy Kilgore our National Sales Manager at Motor City Spindle Repair receives calls for cnc spindle repair services with emergency repair lead times several times a week. A recent customer called her because of a down machining center. They told Amy the spindle no longer rotated. Because of this we were unable to do an initial test run of the spindle. The spindle was disassembled and a full inspection of the unit was completed in under 4 hours. Our staff it concluded that the bearings had failed due to coolant ingression. This locked up the unit. We were able to purchase new spindle bearings, orings and seals and rework the spindle taper and bearing journals in house. Then our Spindle Room Technicians did the reassemble of the unit with brand new bearings, within a matter of a few hours.
