Upon inspection of the Enshu ES 450 spindle, our technician found internal damage that was indicative of a spindle crash. Some indications included a damaged tool taper, wear on shaft, and damaged cages of the front angular contact bearings. In addition, the bearings were contaminated with oil and debris from outside of the spindle. The Spindle was quickly quoted by our staff within 24 hours, and our technicians went to work on this as soon as it was approved by the customer. The Shaft was sent out for Chrome and Grind Work, to requalify it back to the OEM specs.
