The Euro Spindle that was sent to Motor City Spindle Repair, was locked up. Once disassembled we found evidence of bearing failure, which caused the spindle to cease up. There was various wear to the shaft, housing and drawbar, which we Chrome and Ground to requalify it back to the factory specifications. In addition, the shaft nut was damaged, which we manufactured a replacement. The Proximity Switch of the Euro Spindle was not functioning properly, so we had another one ordered. Once all Parts were received and requalified, One of our Skilled Spindle Technicians was able to rebuild the Hi-L Spindle with brand new High Speed Ceramic Ball Bearings. The spindle was then test run for over four(4) hours on one of our test stands. Static and Dynamic Balancing of the Euro Spindle was performed on the spindle, to ensure the longevity of the spindles lifespan. We are confident that this Hi-L Spindle will perform accurately and for a long time.
