The Fuji Lathe Spindle was locked up when it was received by Motor City Spindle Repair. After the Spindle was disassembled, it was found that all of the bearings in the Fuji were massively contaminated, which caused the bearings to fail and prevent the spindle from rotating. New precision roller and angular contact bearings were ordered to replace the contaminated bearings. Some damage was found on the front end of the shaft, which was sent out for Grind-Plate-Grind, to requalify it to factory specifications. Following the reception of parts from our vendors and the Chrome Shop, one of our several experienced Spindle Technicians reassembled the spindle. The Turning Spindle was then test run for four(4) hours and balanced to ensure there was little to no vibration being produced by the spindle. During this step, our Technicians use state of the art diagnostic equipment, which helps them balance and fine tune spindles so they run like new for years to come. Motor City was able to repair and return the Fuji Spindle back to the customer in just one week.
