Upon a test run of the HAAS VF2 CAT40 spindle, our spindle technicians concluded the spindle issue had worn bearings which produced excessive vibration. This is a common issue we see with spindles that are sent to our facility for repair.
Our Spindle Repair Process:
The HAAS VF2 spindle was disassembled and cleaned by one of our expert spindle technicians. An inner spacer was also found to be worn inside the spindle. It was chrome and ground down to get it back to factory specifications within microns.
New steel ball bearings were replaced in the spindle. After the spindle was rebuilt our pro technicians test ran and balanced the spindle so it runs efficiently for many more years to come.
