The Howa Lathe Spindle was received by Motor City Spindle Repair in non-working order. It seems this spindle had experienced bearing failure, and was run longer than it should have. This resulted in much damage done to the spindles shaft. New precision angular contact bearings were ordered to replace the ones that had failed. In addition, the shaft of the spindle was sent out for Chrome and Grind work to requalify the spindle back to the factory specifications. Once the parts were received back to Motor City Spindle Repair, one of our several skilled Spindle Technicians assembled and fine tuned the spindle for optimal performance. The Spindle was then tested and balanced on one of our four(4) spindle test stands. Our Technician utilized state of the art diagnostic equipment to balance the Howa Turning Spindle, to ensure the quality of the repair and longevity of the spindles life.
