Motor City Spindle Repair received the OKK Machining Center Spindle at our facility. The VM5 Spindle was locked up, seemingly due to the Spindle crashing during production. Because of the crash, there was excessive internal and external damage to the spindle. Much Grind Plate Grind work was done to the Shaft I.D. and O.D. as well as the Spindle Flange. Several new components were manufactured to replace old ones, including drive keys, spacers and an air diffuser. Once all components were reworked and received, one of our several Skilled Spindle Technicians rebuilt the VM5 Spindle with precision and accuracy. The Spindle was then test ran for four(4) hours and balanced so it would run smoothly for years to come.
