A Toyo High Speed Grinding Spindle was received by our company in a non-working, locked state. After further inspection and disassembly, we concluded that they spindle experienced catastrophic failure due to the Spindle crashing during production. This crash caused excessive damage to the internals of the spindle, including the shaft, Nut, bearings and bearing spacers. The Shaft was sent out for Chrome and Grind work, to requality it back to factory specifications. New bearing spacers were made, and others were requalified. Once parts were repaired and requalified, they were used to reassemble the spindle by one of our Experienced Spindle Technicians(with and average of 20 years experience). New High Speed Ceramic Bearings were used to replace the failed ones. Once assembled, the HSB-193 Spindle was Test run and balanced with exacting precision. We are confident that this spindle will run flawlessly for years to come.
