Our Customer sent us the Doosan DHM Machining Center Spindle for inspection and repair, after it had crashed during production. The internal damage done to the Spindle was excessive, which required Chrome and Grind work done to many surfaces of the Shaft, including the CAT 50 Tooling Taper as well as the front and rear O.D. In addition, Chrome and Grind work needed to be done to the hydraulic nut. The drawbar also needed a bit of work, which included repairing the threads and replacing the disc springs. The drawbar was then rebuilt to have the correct pull force needed to hold CAT 50 tools. One of our Experienced Spindle Technicians with an average of 20 years experience, rebuilt the Doosan Spindle. The DHM 800 was then balanced and test run for four hours, to ensure the quality of the spindle rebuild.
