The NTC Machining Center Spindle was sent to Motor City Spindle Repair for inspection and quotation. Once disassembled and inspected, our Spindle Technician concluded that the N4H Spindle failed due to the spindle crashing, which caused much internal damage to the spindle. A Quote was sent out to the customer the same day we received the spindle. Various Chrome and Grind work was done to the Shaft, including requalifying the bearing journals and the Big Plus 40 Spindle Taper. All Seals and O-rings were ordered to replace the old ones. Upon receiving the requalified Shaft, one of our Experienced Spindle Techs rebuilt the N4H Spindle, replacing the old bearings with High Speed Angular Contact Bearings. The N4H Spindle was then test ran for over four(4) hours at the maximum Speed of 10,000 RPM. Our Spindle Technician was able to balance this spindle with such precision, that little to no vibrations were produced while the spindle ran. This international customer was so pleased with our work that they have continued to regularly send us Machine Tool Spindles for Repair.
