Nakamura NTMX Spindle Repair Failure Analysis:
We had a Nakamura NTMX Spindle shipped overnight to us as soon as our customer knew they had an issue with their failing spindle. Our technicians inspected it the minute it came in the door. We disassembled and cleaned the spindle and its components to see what needed to be replaced, repaired, or re-manufactured. Luckily, we found the spindle had no major malfunctions, so we were able to quickly replace the O-rings and seals and installed new high-performance bearings. Our Machinists reworked the parts back to the manufacturer’s specifications with our Kellenberger 100 Grinder and got it back to the Spindle Technician for assembly the same day. When they were done, they ran an extreme precision balance test to ensure it was running smoothly. We then carefully packaged it and returned it to the customer 5 days before schedule and the customer couldn’t have been happier.
