Parts in Stock

Motor City Spindle Repair stocks all the most common replacement components for the spindles we regularly remanufacture including spindle bearings, o-rings and seals. Having spare spindle repair components on the shelf allows us to expedite spindle repairs with the fastest lead times for turning center spindles in the industry. This includes motorized turning center spindles.

No Draw Bars

Turning Center Spindles do not have draw bars. Although we rebuild several dozen Machining Center Spindles every month the fact Turning Center spindles do not have the units helps make the spindle repair process even faster.

Staffing

Our Spindle Room is 5000 sq.ft with (8) Full Time Spindle Repair Technicians. All Motor City Spindle Repair Techs are trained to rebuild roller and tapered roller bearings most commonly found in Turning Center Spindles. Many Machine Tool OEMs or 3rd Party Spindle Repair Companies have only one or sometimes two spindle technicians that can properly rebuild high end motorized turning center spindles but we are equipped with eight to meet customer demand.

In House Machine Shop / Grinding Department

Although many CNC machine tool end users believe spindles in need of repair only require new spindle bearings this is often not the case. In fact over 94% of all spindles rebuilt by Motor City Spindle Repair require some type of machine tool machining and or grinding rework of the spindle shaft, housing bore or other components. Our 5000 sq.ft Machine Shop equipped with mills, lathes and most importantly diverse ID/OD grinding machine tools allow our staff to perform all spindle component re-qualifications in house.

Motor City Spindle Repair tests all Turning Center Spindles before we ship them back to our customers with a Full 1 Year in Service that starts after you install your spindle back into you CNC machine tool. Less than 1% of all Turning Center Spindles are ever returned for a warranty evaluation because our quality in the best in the industry.
